Department description

Our goal as the Mathematics Department at Kea'au High School is to prepare students for success in college level math courses. Starting freshman year with Algebra 1 and Math Workshop, we aim to build students' skills and conceptual understanding so that they will continue to have a productive experience with mathematics throughout high school. During sophomore year, most students will take Geometry followed by either Modeling Our World or Algebra 2 their junior year. For students who choose to take a 4th math credit, the following options are available: Algebra 3/Analytic Geometry, Trigonometry/PreCalculus, and AP Calculus.
